Pyre — Terms of Use

Pyre is free, open-source, and runs entirely on your device. It's a frontend that talks to an AI provider you choose — no backend, no account, and we can't see anything you do with it. So these terms are short.

The deal

  • It's a tool, not a service. Pyre connects to a third-party AI with your API key and shows you the reply. We run no models, host no content, and store nothing on a server — there isn't one.
  • You bring the AI and the content. Pyre generates and hosts nothing — your AI provider does, under its own policies, and the law applies to you regardless. You handle your provider account and bill, anything you import or write, and keeping it legal.
  • You're an adult (18+). The models and cards you bring can produce mature content; what you do with it is on you.
  • No warranty. Pyre is "as is", with no guarantees. Don't rely on AI output for anything that matters. Our liability is capped at what you paid us — which is nothing.

Donations

Supporting Pyre (for example via Ko-fi) is voluntary, non-refundable, and buys you nothing — no perks, no priority. Pyre is fully free either way.

Open source

Pyre is AGPL-3.0. Use it, study it, change it, share it under that license. Nothing here removes a right the AGPL gives you.
